it’s february - i’ve found love

i love chanting and repeating mantras. by repeating what you believe in over and over again it will manifest. it’s happened to me with a lot of things i’ve wanted in my life. i kept repeating [Hérmes] “Birkin bag” until one day i got it. the experience ended up being more hate than love, but what can you do, sometimes that happens …  you can read about it here, if you want http://www.mindbodygreen.com/0-2635/Yoga-Teacher-Hermes-Birkin-Bag-A-Union.html

and although the Hérmes Birkin bag was such a Guru for me, i know that neither love nor happiness is in a handbag, i just find myself in the same situation again: having a long distance affair in my mind, now with Bottega Venetta handbags. every now and then i find myself surfing over to the Bottega Venetta site, like this evening. i get there and my mind drifts, my heart beat increases and i’m so into ‘it’ ….. then my eyes catch the price tag and i snap back into reality. i remember that i have yet to pay for the cost of a new website and that private school tuition is almost due again. LOL.

but am i not allowed to dream? withdraw from reality once in a while? wonder what the word ‘abundance’ really means? and stay in contact with my superficial self? i would say so.

Repeating Birkin bag was a whole lot easier than repeating: “Nero Intreccio Vivo Cervo Bag” - but hey! i’m always in for a challenge and you never know; the universe might just surprise me again.

“Nero Intreccio Vivo Cervo” will you be mine? i love you (but in brown :-)

today i discovered a lot of great things in SoHo, among them Alexander Girard - a cool print on a cool girl’s handbag at Hampton Chutney - of course i asked where it was from - generously she answered, and waited while i wrote it down in my iphone notes. LOL, that’s me! just researched where i could “look” (wink, wink) at the bags; i came across this, and other prints by Alexander Girard. i’ve seen this, and many other prints before. i just did not know who it was. i love it when i discover something old as feeling new. well, timeless i should say :-)

My little Guru Lars reminds: Happy Birthday Ganesh!! Ganesh is the remover of obstacles, but really; the obstacle(s) is inside you. Ganesh will assist you, but start by removing the obstacle yourself. How? A good place to start is getting out of your own way :-)
